I bought this after spending way too much money having someone else trim my dog's nails. We're still learning but he's already scratching it on his own for treats.

Was worried the scratching surface might scare my dog because she's nervous about new things. I introduced it slowly with treats and by the second day she was totally fine with it.
I was skeptical because my dog is stubborn and usually ignores puzzle toys. Food won this battle though lol. Once she smelled the treats inside she was VERY interested.
Not gonna lie, the first day was a disaster because he kept trying to open it with his nose. Day two something clicked and he finally started using his paws.and here is the result of it.
This isn't magic and you do have to teach them what to do. But compared with trying to hold my 60 lb dog still for nail clipping, I'll happily spend a few minutes training him.
Took about two training sessions before my dog understood what I wanted him to do. Now I just put a few pieces of kibble inside and he starts scratching.
My girl would pull her paw away every single time I tried trimming her nails. She's much more comfortable doing this herself and actually gets excited when I bring it out.
Nail trimming has always been a whole event at our house. This doesn't completely replace clipping for us, especially the back nails, but her front nails are much easier to keep under control now.
